Ah, Avery loved being him sometimes. Earlier tonight he'd convinced one of the younger, cuter male guards into letting him get out for the night and come to the club. He won't mention exactly how he'd convinced him, but let's just say the guard won't be telling anyone and neither will Avery. Hey, he's 18 so it's not like it's illegal or anything, just maybe a little creepy. Not that he cared, like I said, the guard was pretty cute. And only, like, 20 something, so that wasn't too bad.

But anyway back to now. Avery was seated at the bar, yes he's underage but the bartender here knew him and didn't care. His eyes scanned over the club, looking for anyone who might prove to be interesting company. So far, he saw no one, but maybe as the night went on that'd change.

For once, he was actually mostly sober. With the exception of the alcohol he'd alreay comsumed (not near enough to make him drunk). He hadn't wanted them to catch him high and send him back to the asylum before he even got here, so he left his stash there.

Getting past guards was never a difficult thing for Wade, he had a reputation after all. Come on, people just don't get to be a bullet over nothing. Not to mention some of those guards kept in mind the fact that they had families at home. There were actually a few guards that Wade got along with, most of them were smart enough not to say no to him anyway. Tonight was no different, he got to leave without a peep and headed to town.

Wade walked into the already packed club, there were girls dancing with their friends and some guys who actually decided to take their girl out. Of course there was always some idiotic group of guys out 'hunting' for some action. It was pathetic sometimes. Looking across the club he spotted a boy from the asylum who looked to be about his age. A bullet, the voice in his head stated. I'd know that look anywhere. This much was true, Wade had a way of knowing who was who, it helped him a lot back at the institute.

The bar wasn't nearly as full as the dance floor, everyone was on ecstasy anyway booze didn't matter. Regardless, Wade made his way through the dancing groups and approached the bar. "Hey," Wade said to the other patient. The bartender handed Wade the 'usual' which didn't seem usual enough for him. "Having fun?"

Avery was about to decide there was no interesting company in this whole place. I mean, really, girls were high and dancing with friends, and others were with their boyfriends. So, no one he could really go up to and start a conversation or every dance with, they were all surrounded by about five thousand people. And then a new guy at the bar started talking to him. He looked familiar, Avery guessed he was from the asylum as well.

"Hey" he said in response and then shrugged at the question. "I don't know, I guess." A look back over the crowd and he kind of shook his head. "Not as much fun as some of them seem to be having though.." He was referring to pretty much anyone that was on the dancefloor. "But yeah I guess it's fun to not be in that hell hole." If he was from the asylum, as Avery guessed he had to be, then he'd know that the 'hell hole' was there. "You having fun?" Hey, he'd asked Avery so Avery could ask him.

"Yeah, nothing better than a shit load of drugged up kids dancing," Wade gazed over the sea of people on the dance floor. It actually looked like a sea, people bobbed up and down as they dance. That's probably why so many people liked to get high and come here, it was trippy just watching them. By the looks of it, it was ladies night. A clear cut sign was that not many people were at the bar. When girls come to clubs they dance the whole song and then come up for drinks, not to mention there weren't many guys there.

Taking a drink of whatever the odd concoction the bartender had given him Wade smirked. It was never something normal to drink with these people anymore, no 'just a beer's or 'rum and coke's. They needed something crazy, but being crazy was enough for Wade. "Yeah, I'm just happy to be away from it," he stated referring to the asylum. It had been a while since he'd gone out last, so he was enjoying himself even if there was really nothing to do. "Name's Wade by the way, people just call me Farva though."

"Yeah but at least they're having fun." He wouldn't admit it, but he'd rather be among the sea of people. Drugged up, of course, he was a much better dance when he was high, sober he couldn't dance worth shit. Oh well, he wasn't high tonight so it'd have to be staying at the bar until he got drunk enough that he didn't care. Too bad he really didn't like the taste of alcohol; it was all he could get right now.

Avery nodded when the other guy said he was just glad to be away. Yeah that was true. He hated that place, no freedom at all. At least not the freedom he'd gotten way too used to before he got arrested. "Same here, just wish we didn't have to go back." He was like Wade though, having fun just getting this little bit of freedom. Again, too bad that if he tried to leave and go anywhere else they'd follow him like a hawk, no doubt making sure he wasn't trying to run off, which would've been his exact intent. "Farva? That's... weird. No offense or anything. I'm Avery, and people basically just call me Avery." Yeah, bad attempt at getting a cheap laugh. Of course it was probably just stupid but oh well, no one ever said Avery was a comedian.

Back in the day, before this whole asylum thing happened to him- Wade used to actually be a fun guy. He used to have lots of friends, party all of the time. Hell, he might have even had a better sense of humor. Years at the asylum had taken a lot of that away from him- at least some of it. "I wish I could be in any one of their places right now, they don't have shit to worry about." This was probably a lie, but the thing was they didn't have to worry as much as Wade did, and they take it all for granted.

Even the thought of going back made Wade want to cringe- for as tough as he was he couldn't stand up to the intimidation of the asylum. "If these guards weren't here," Wade said nodding over toward the door. Of course there were two guards from the hell hole he called home loitering at the door. "I'd have been gone a long time ago." If the guards weren't there, everyone would have ran away by now, even the people who had no where else to go would be jumping for joy. But, hell- maybe it was better to keep the insane with the insane and not let them linger with the usual suspects. "Farva's my last name- yeah it's kind of weird." Wade laughed softly. No one had ever asked about his nickname before, it was odd to see that someone was actually listening.

Before coming to the asylum, Avery was... well pretty much the same he is now except for he was always high and always looking for any way possible to have fun or just be out of his house doing something. After being thrown in that place though, he was limited in what he could do, and he hated it more than anything. "Me too. No cares in the world, just having fun. Fuck, I miss that." Well, they probably did have worries and such, but none of it seemed to be on their minds tonight; they were just living in the moment, whatever they could to have fun.

Avery looked to the door when Wade mentioned the guards, and noticed one more had joined since he'd first got here. Probably because Wade was here too, they wouldn't trust two patients to be out anywhere, especially not a club. Again, he agreed with Wade. "Same here. But I guess that's the exact reason they're there, they know if they weren't everybody would run off." Which he really wished could happen but obviously it wasn't going to, they wanted the 'insane' right where they could watch them. And with no freedom. It sucked being deemed insane.

Missing it- well that was an understatement. Wade missed being able to stay up all hours of the night, just sitting there coked out laughing with friends. He even missed the bad times when the cops would show up- the funny thing is if he was given a second chance he'd do it all over again. "Can't wait to get the fuck out of that place," he spoke a little quieter but enough to be heard over the music. "Things are going to be the same as before I came here anyway."

Wade took a large drink from his glass. It's bitter taste was something that he had always been fond of- maybe because his mother had drank so much when she was pregnant with him. No wonder he turned out the way he did. "True," Wade said with a smile forming on his face. There probably wasn't a single person at the asylum who would stay there if given the chance- and if they did then God knows they deserve to be there. "I don't see why they don't just put us in jail for a year or so then drop us back off in the regular world. The good ol' American way."

If given another chance, Anvery wouldn't change anything he'd done. Wait, scratch that. If given another chance, he would prevent those jackasses from touching Holly. Other than that though, nothing would be different, he had fun before he came here, always gone, up til who-knows-o'clock am, always high on something, sometimes multiple somethings. "I can't wait too either. Though I can't say things will be the same, I know they won't. A lot would end up just the way it was before though." It was true, he didn't want to change so he knew he would be the same person when he left that he was before he came here.

He shrugged at Wade's last statement. "Somehow they think it's better for us to be in there than in jail. And if they sent murderers to jail we'd never get out, it'd be like being tried as an adult." Oh wait, he was an adult. Wow, it's bad when you're 18 and forget your own age. "Plus, they don't want to drop anyone they deem as 'insane' into the real world, we just wouldn't survive" At the last part, he'd put on an obviously fake old lady accent, like an old woman saying her kids couldn't survive on their own. Woah, he could really creep out even himself when he wanted to.

"I think the only thing I would change- if I knew I was coming here,Wade nodded slightly- watching the crowd. The song hand ended and the few that wanted a drink came to the bar. Some hardcore dance troopers stayed on the floor to wait for the quickly approaching next song. "Probably would have killed me father- and not just attempted it. Then again if I would have actually killed him, I wouldn't be here."

True, they would be tried as adults. Well- now they would anyway. Wade first arrived at the asylum when he was fifteen years old, but surely a judge would see no difference then than now. "Yeah- I guess the only perk about being in this place is when we get out we can do what we want," A smile perked on Wade's face. "And then if we just so happen to kill anyone we can plead insanity and get away with it." Beautiful, the mind of a criminal.

So, attempting to kill his father was the act that had gotten Wade sent here? Well, he didn't know if that was the only act, but apparently it was the one to get him caught. "Well, the reason I got sent there was for killing these guys who hurt my sister. The thing I'd change would be to stop them. Of course if I'd stopped them then I wouldn't have killed them so I wouldn't be here.." That was the only thing he regretted about how he'd lived his life, the fact that he'd dragged her into it as well.

Avery watched the crowd too, as some of them came up to the bar, ordering their drinks and then back to the dancefloor, hurrying to make it in time for the next song. He shook his head at them, what was so great about dancing along to not very good music anyways? Well, it was always better when they were high, if he was then he'd probably be right out there too.

Okay, true sign of insanity: you laugh when someone says you can plead insanity if you kill someone after getting out of an insane asylum/prison. Which simply proves that Avery is in fact insane, because he did laugh at that comment. "Or they could deny the insanity plea and just throw us in jail. Trust me - I plead insanity at my trial, since they were trying me as an adult. They said I wasn't insane enough to escape jail, but I was crazy, so they sent me to that lovely little place. But yeah, it is a perk that we can go back to doing whatever we want when we get out.. if we get out that is."

"Your reason is totally better than mine," Wade took the last drink of his beverage and set it back on the bar. He wasn't really in the mood to drink but it was almost subconscious to him now. "I don't have any siblings- just a shitty dad and a dead mom." Wasn't that the truth. Wade hated his father, probably more than anything in the world- and the only thing worse than knowing he didn't kill his father was having him in his head. The therapist at the asylum had told Wade that the reason he heard the voices in his head was a product of his father.

The dancers had gone back out to the floor as soon as the next song came back on- bass thumping and techno crap a'playing. Wade didn't mind techno so much, when he was high it was like a God sent. He wasn't high though- sure as hell wasn't crazy enough to get high before being escorted by a guard. That would have been a dumb mistake.

"Damn," Wade said with a short laugh. "Well there goes all my fucking plans. How long have you been at the asylum?" Three years and running- that's how long Wade had been in the shit hole prison crazy place. It was crazy to think that he had been in the asylum since he was fifteen years old. God it seemed so much shorter now, when he first arrived it felt so much longer. Wade mused at this interesting fact- three years. That's a long time for anyone, and he had survived long enough to call it three full years.

Avery shrugged at his comment. It wasn't really better, his reason was still five murders, even if it was a good cause, that was pretty horrid in some people's eyes. Like the eyes of the judge who sent him here. "I'd rather have no siblings. I have.. 2 full sisters, 1 full brother, 1 step-brother, and I had a step-sister, she's the one I mentioned earlier. She killed herself though. And I have a mom who hates me, dad who can think of nothing but his new perfect wife, and a step-mom who wants me dead. So... I'd say we're both right up there in the 'horrible families' category. The only one in my family who didn't hate me was my step-sister." He missed her like crazy, still, and it'd been nearly a year since her suicide. Of course he blamed himself, so if you counted that, he was the reason that six people died. No wonder he liked to drown out the world with drugs and anything else he came across.

Avery laughed. "Not all your plans, you could still get marked as insane. Just do a better job of it than I did and you should be fine." Hey, if he did something like that again, he could play up the crazy more, and they'd probably let him off with insanity too.

And, how long he'd been here. "Almost a year now. Seems longer though... What about you?" He'd only been there about a year, yet it still seemed like forever. He missed his old life like crazy - not his family or siblings (other than Holly) or any of that, but he missed his friends. The ones he'd go to and stay with for weeks at a time without his dad and step-mom noticing, the ones who supplied him with anything he needed, the fun people. He couldn't wait to finally get out of the asylum. Maybe they let you out when you got older, he wasn't sure. He hoped so though, he didn't want to be stuck in an insane asylum for the rest of his probably very short life.
